AMS Jr. Beta Club

The AMS Jr. Beta Club is our local chapter of the National Beta Club.  Beta Club promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership.

Beta expands your horizons. Literally. Whether through local service projects, state conventions, leadership summits, summer leadership opportunities or our annual national convention, members have the opportunity to get out–and, in some cases, way out–to make a difference. It provides students with an ideal environment in which to grow. Not to mention, there’s no better (or more fun) way to see new places. Simply put, Beta offers a long list of one-of-a-kind experiences for one-of-a-kind students.

Beta holds annual state conventions in 18 states, both for Senior and Junior Beta divisions, and winners of these state events go on to compete on a national level. Activities range from academic contests to quiz bowls to talent competitions. Conventions give members the opportunity to interact, share project ideas and showcase their academic and leadership abilities.

Student Leadership Summits offer students from all over America—and as far away as Poland and Australia—a chance to learn how to become more effective leaders, build positive self-esteem and overcome negative peer pressure.  Whether engaging in energetic group activities and discussions, listening to motivational speakers, watching inspirational videos or competing in team-building events, you’ll develop enduring friendships and take home ideas that will enable you to become a better student, leader, and person.

Membership is by invitation and is based on academic achievement from the prior school year.  Invitations will be sent home the week of August 23rd.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Community Service Hours

The National Beta Club lives the motto

"Let us lead by serving others."

Here at Aubrey Middle School, we expect our Betas to be outstanding members of our community.

Each member is challenged to complete 20 hours of service to individuals and/or organizations throughout the area.

With this challenge, we are instilling the very core of Beta Club: Achievement, Character, Leadership, and Service.
