Law Enforcement Day was established to express gratitude and support for law enforcement officers and their commitment to serving their communities. Today, we honor the Aubrey ISD Police Department.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, all Aubrey ISD schools and administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 9. All after school activities are canceled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe and warm. Check email for further details.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Chaparrals back on Tuesday, Jan. 7! In Aubrey ISD, the safety of our staff and students is our top priority. Administrators are monitoring this week’s weather conditions closely. If the need for school closures or delays arises, we will utilize various communication tools to keep parents informed. These include the district website, social media platforms, KXAS TV NBC5, WFAA TV News8 and KDFW TV Fox 4. In addition, parents will receive notifications via email, phone, and text message through the student data system. Please monitor Aubrey ISD social media channels and District notifications for updates. See you in the morning and stay warm!

Aubrey ISD school board members, administrators, faculty and staff gathered at Aubrey Middle School for a “State of the District” meeting called by Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor. It actually was a surprise renaming of Aubrey Middle School! In Fall 2025, Aubrey ISD will open its second middle school named for Evalois Owens. Now, both schools have individuals they are named for. Congratulations to Aubrey ISD Deputy Superintendent Terrie McNabb. Led by principal Dr. Heather Vandiver, McNabb Middle School is here! January is School Board Recognition Month
Each January, we take the time to recognize and celebrate our school board members for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to enhancing public education.

Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays!

This year’s district holiday luncheon took on a new look but still served as a fantastic way to kick off the holiday season. Each campus celebrated uniquely, with meals and treats for their staff in festive styles. At the high school, breakfast was delivered door-to-door. Staff district and campus gifts were also handed out. To start the holiday festivities, retirees, Chaparral Legacy Cooperative members, and district administrators enjoyed a luncheon at Aubrey Middle School, highlighted by a variety of student performances. We wish all our families a holiday season filled with rest, joy, and cherished moments together. Watch video here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/14W6vPqWd3/?mibextid=wwXIfr

At this evening’s board meeting, the Aubrey ISD Holiday Card and its designer, Madison “Madi” Houck of Aubrey High School, were recognized. Although Madi was unable to attend, both she and her beautiful card received well-deserved recognition.
