Excitement Builds as West Family Visits New Elementary School
Carson West, alongside his sister Teresa West Mancuso and brother-in-law Gus Mancuso, visited the construction site of the soon-to-open West Elementary School. Named in honor of their parents, Pete and Myra West, the campus is set to open its doors in Fall 2024.
The Aubrey Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees officially approved the naming of Elementary School #4 as Pete and Myra West Elementary School at their March meeting. The decision celebrates the Wests' long-standing dedication to education within the Aubrey ISD community, where both served as educators for many years.
Pictured below, the West children proudly show off their West Elementary gear.

Summer Learning at Aubrey ISD!
Aubrey ISD Elementary Summer School recently enjoyed a visit from the Texas Farm Bureau’s Mobile Learning Barn. This educational trailer can showcase up to seven different crops and livestock, including corn, cotton, grain sorghum, pork, and cattle. Thank you Farm Bureau for the unique learning opportunity.
We hope everyone is having an amazing start to summer. It's never too early to start planning for a fantastic school year. With that in mind, here's a reminder: the first day of school will be Wednesday, August 14. A printable 2024-2025 calendar can be found here: https://bit.ly/3KzlD7b
Our younger athletes have kicked off the summer in high gear, putting in the effort and having fun! If you missed these first camps, don’t worry—there are still plenty of chances to join other summer camps. Check them out https://www.aubreyisd.net/page/summer-athletic-camps
Aubrey ISD football summer camp will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Times will remain the same.
Camp will be held at Chaparral Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, camp will be moved to the high school auxiliary gym.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility.
Due to inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, we have made the decision to not hold our football camp today. Safety of our students and families is first priority. An announcement will be made this evening with plans for the next few days. We will keep you posted. Thank you for your flexibility. Stay safe!
Starting May 28, our offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch closure from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. All offices will be closed on Fridays.
