The Lady Chaps finished 4th in the Forney Tournament. We learned a lot about ourselves this weekend. We fought hard all weekend long, and did some incredible things. Luck was not on our side Friday as we began pool play and with the first 10 minutes of the match, we had suffered two ankle injuries and we were down two hitters the remainder of the tournament. I can't say enough about our mental toughness throughout the weekend, everyone rallied and we adjusted the line-up and found ways to be highly successful. We played as a team and for each other, even though we had several players playing out of their normal positions. It was a hard two days of volleyball, and with four players playing all the way around ,due to injuries, the exhaustion finally got the best of us at the end of the day on Saturday. I was very proud of the way we played as a team this weekend. We will be back in action on Tuesday as travel to Melissa. The JV's will play at 5:00 pm, followed by the varsity.
