Aubrey's overall record now stands at 22-13 after a 1st round loss (53-107) to the #1 team in the state, Oak Cliff Faith Family. I was really proud of how our guys came out in the first quarter. On both ends of the floor, we were extremely aggressive, but their size and quickness gave us trouble the rest of the game. This group has been a pleasure to coach. They are great young men whom I believe are going to be successful in all areas of their lives. - Coach Smith

Goal #2 was scored by Juan Serrano with Goal #3 by David Lopez shortly after. Goal #4 was Kevin Prado on a break away and goal #5 was Alexis Carranza on a banger from about 25 yards out. The final ended up being 5-1 as the Chaps played the reserves and Bonham fought hard to finish a late goal.

Aubrey's overall record now stands at 22-12 and 5-5 in district play with a loss to Anna. Basketball is a very tough game when you don't make shots. For the year, our team has been an excellent free throw shooting team, shooting 70 percent as a team with 2 players shooting close to 90 percent. But tonight, we only made 7 of 15 which really hurts us in a close game. Along with that, we only made 1 three-point shot which makes it very tough to beat good teams like Anna. I was proud of how hard we played defensively in order to be close. We tied the game at 54 with 2 minutes to go but we could not complete the comeback and fell short. We will play a playoff game next week against Faith Family, date and time still to be determined.
