
Substitute Professionals Day is a day dedicated to recognizing the important role that substitutes play in the education system. They ensure that students receive a quality education during the temporary absence of the regular classroom teacher. THANK YOU Aubrey ISD Substitutes!


At the regularly scheduled board meeting on Nov. 15, 2023, the Aubrey ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of lone finalist, Dr. Shannon Saylor, as the Superintendent of Schools for Aubrey ISD. Dr. Saylor will start in this role on Dec. 1, 2023.


During the Aubrey ISD Board Meeting tonight, Monaco Elementary students Duke Smith and Wyatt Salazar led the pledge. Additionally, Haylee Ducharme, a 10th grade student from Aubrey High School, was recognized as the District Holiday Card Art Winner. Haylee's winning artwork was created in Ms. Alyssa DeLeon's art class.

Today is Education Support Professionals Day, a special day dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the individuals who make our schools run smoothly. From the bus drivers who ensure our children arrive safely to school, to the custodians who keep our buildings clean, to the cafeteria staff who prepare nutritious meals, and the nurses who care for our health, we are grateful for your dedication and hard work. On November 16th, all AISD school cafeterias will be serving a delicious homestyle meal that students and staff won't want to miss! Here's what's on the menu for the day: Breaded Chicken Drumstick Mashed Potatoes and Poultry Gravy Green Beans Dinner Roll Pumpkin Pudding Dessert We highly encourage everyone to give school lunch a try on that day. Aubrey High School's Student Council and Senior Leadership are teaming up for a Food Drive. The purpose of this drive is to support two local organizations, Love Pacs and Hope Food Bank, both located in Aubrey. We are encouraging students and staff to contribute by bringing in canned goods. By doing so, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Thank you in advance for your support.


Congratulations to Aubrey ISD police officer Kayla Elizalde who has been promoted to sergeant. Sergeant Elizalde is in her fourth year as a full-time officer with the Aubrey ISD police department. She worked for six years at the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office as a reserve deputy, working patrol, dispatch and jail.
A graduate of Kilgore College Police Academy, Sergeant Elizalde attended the University of Texas at Tyler while playing college basketball.
Sergeant Elizalde is the first to hold the rank of sergeant with the Aubrey ISD police department which hired its first police chief in October 2013. The department is currently led by Chief Kevin Clayton.


The Lady Chaps season ended today with a tough loss to Celina at the Regional tournament. The Lady Chaps had a tremendously successful season and we are extremely proud of these young ladies and their coaches. Congratulations Lady Chaps on an outstanding 2023 season.

Happy 248th Birthday, United States Marine Corps!
Aubrey High School had the privilege of honoring two incredible AHS educators today, Coach Siano and Craig Lock, both U.S. Marine Corps veterans.
A special breakfast reception was the perfect way to express our gratitude and appreciation for their service.

Annaleise Sevier recently signed to play D1 volleyball for Abilene Christian University. You can catch Annaleise in action as the Lady Chaps go head-to-head against Sunnyvale in the regional semifinal game at Mesquite Poteet High School tonight at 8:00 PM.


The Chaparrals defeated Quinlan 34-2 in the Bi-District Championship Game.

Aubrey FFA had a successful showing at District, with multiple teams advancing to the next round. The results are as follows: Ag Issues and Senior Spanish Creed placed first and will be advancing to the Area competition. GH Spanish Creed, GH Creed, Senior Creed, GH Skills, and Public Relations all placed second and will also be advancing. In addition, Senior Skills and Ag Advocacy placed third, while Job Interview placed fourth, Radio Broadcasting, GH Chapter conducting, Senior Quiz, and GH Quiz placed fifth. In addition, Aubrey FFA won first place in the 2023 District Leadership Development Event(LDE). Congratulations Aubrey FFA! #aubreyproud
