The Lady Chaps ran well over the last two days of district competition, with a 4th place team finish for Varsity and the JV coming in as Runners-Up. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work and accomplishments this season and while the JV girls season comes to a close we are excited for our Area Qualifiers who get to compete next week. What a GREAT DAY for the hometown Aubrey Chaparral Boys Track Teams competing in the District 11-4A Track and Field Championships in their home stadium yesterday. The night ending with the Varsity Boys winning the District Championship in the 4X400 Relay! The Varsity boys WON their 3rd District Championship in a row!!! Three-peat!!!
Now on to the next step for the Varsity Boys. On to Area!!! We qualified in 15 events for Area. It will take place on Tuesday, April 9th in Celina. We will have the schedule posted online as soon as we receive it.

Softball Update - April 5:The Lady Chaps secured a hard-fought 8-5 victory over Van Alstyne, advancing to 22-4 overall and 4-0 in district play. Brynlie Dunkin showcased a stellar performance, pitching 7 innings with 6 strikeouts, 4 walks, and 8 hits. Tamia Cherry, Carmen Alexander, and Molly Reid contributed homeruns to the win. Baseball Update - April 5:Aubrey Varsity Baseball secured a District 11-4A victory against Van Alstyne with a score of 7-2. Hank Nokes earned the win, pitching five and a third innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, and striking out nine. Branden West led the offense with five hits, including a double, and three RBI's. The Lady Chaps are Area Champs after securing an 11-2 victory over Dallas Inspired Vision tonight! Brynnlee Bohannon had 2 goals and 3 assists. Landry Gannon got a hat trick and 3 assists. Macy Childers scored 4 goals and assisted 1 goal. Lilly Stewart scored 2 goals, and Maria Maldonado assisted 1 goal. The girls will advance to the Regional Quarterfinals against Celina on Tuesday, April 2nd. The location and time will be released soon!

Aubrey Varsity Baseball picked up a win Saturday in a non-district game against Denison (10-0) in six innings. Five Aubrey pitchers combined allowing only two hits, no runs and striking out five. Cam Sanders led the offense with three RBI's followed by Grant Ramsey and Braeden Flak with two RBI's a piece. The Chaps return to District 11-4A play on Tuesday, March 26 at Celina. The JV will play at 4:30pm followed by the Varsity at 7:00pm.

The Lady Chaps secured a solid 18-4 record after Brynlie Dunkin's impressive 7-inning no-hit pitching display. Tamia Cherry's clutch 2-run single in the 7th inning sealed the victory. Looking ahead, the Lady Chaps will kick off district play next Tuesday at Celina.
