Aubrey's overall record now stands at 22-13 after a 1st round loss (53-107) to the #1 team in the state, Oak Cliff Faith Family. I was really proud of how our guys came out in the first quarter. On both ends of the floor, we were extremely aggressive, but their size and quickness gave us trouble the rest of the game. This group has been a pleasure to coach. They are great young men whom I believe are going to be successful in all areas of their lives. - Coach Smith

The Lady Chaps secured a 3-0 victory against Panther Creek to start off the second round of district. Our overall record is now 8-6, and our district record is 5-3. Landry Gannon, Lilly Stewart, and Maria Maldonado each scored one goal, while Macy Childers had two assists. Goalkeeper Lexis Jones and our defense played a strong game, securing the shutout win. Knowing we were going into this game with many starters out, the girls collectively showed up for each other to make a statement. We will use this momentum and continue to work hard as we look to keep moving forward through this exciting season! The girls will return to action at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, February 21st at Farmersville! The Aubrey boys' team played a tough and motivated Frisco Panther Creek team tonight and came up just shy, losing 2-1. Leo Mejia scored on a header about midway through the first half, but Panther Creek answered back with a goal on a counter a few minutes later. Despite several key players being injured and banged up, Aubrey fought hard. During the second half, on a corner attempt, there was a scrum in front of the net and Panther Creek found the net for the final score. Although Aubrey had a few build-up opportunities and many long-ball chances, they couldn't score in the second half. Aubrey looks to rebound against Farmersville away on Wednesday, February 21st, at 5:45 PM. Photo Credit: Keith Monson
