Two Chaparrals Named Super Elite by the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA)
Tyler Brown and Ryan McMeen have been named to the Boys Track & Field Super Elite Team for Class AAAA. Additionally, Tyler Brown has been recognized as the team MVP.
The THSCA Super Elite Teams are composed of high school players nominated by current professional members, who meet the THSCA award criteria recognizing exemplary athletic achievements in Texas.

Aubrey Middle School Shines Bright in Summer Competitions
Two Aubrey Middle School teams had busy weeks: one at a cheer competition in Grapevine, TX, and the other at the Jr. BETA Nationals in Savannah, GA. Please join us in congratulating these Chaparral teams on the many honors and awards they brought home.

Summer Learning at Aubrey ISD!
Aubrey ISD Elementary Summer School recently enjoyed a visit from the Texas Farm Bureau’s Mobile Learning Barn. This educational trailer can showcase up to seven different crops and livestock, including corn, cotton, grain sorghum, pork, and cattle. Thank you Farm Bureau for the unique learning opportunity.
Cross Country practice starts a week from today! The first day is Monday, June 17, from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the AMS track. These workouts are for 7th-12th graders. Practice will run Monday through Thursday throughout the summer.

As part of this recognition, Aubrey High School track and field Coach Don Spaulding was named THSCA Regional Head 4A Boys Track & Field Coach of the Year! Aubrey Baseball is proud to announce that Landon Martino, a student-athlete on the 2024 Aubrey Baseball Team, has been named to the THSCA Academic All-State Team. Landon not only performed on the field, but also excelled in the classroom. We are incredibly proud of him and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.
The THSCA Academic All-State Teams recognize senior athletes who have excelled in their GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT scores among their peers throughout the state.

The Celebration of Life for former Aubrey Middle School Assistant Principal Kevin Hamlin will be tomorrow, May 31, at 4:00 p.m. at Berkshire Chapel in Frisco, TX. Hamlin dedicated 27 years to education, serving Aubrey ISD for three years before retiring in May 2023.
Aubrey ISD football summer camp will be held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Times will remain the same.
Camp will be held at Chaparral Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, camp will be moved to the high school auxiliary gym.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility.
Due to inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, we have made the decision to not hold our football camp today. Safety of our students and families is first priority. Starting May 28, our offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch closure from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. All offices will be closed on Fridays.

In memory of Kevin Hamlin
It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the death of former Aubrey Middle School Assistant Principal Kevin Hamlin. A 27-year educator, Hamlin served Aubrey ISD for three years until his retirement in May 2023.
Please keep the Hamlin family in your prayers. Service information will be shared soon.
