Aubrey vs Ponder 21-20, 25-20, 21-50, 25-20, 15-12 Kills: Kylie Miller (20), Kynadi Hall (17), Chloe Miller (17) Abby Wright (6), Baylee Hampton (4) Blocks: Kylie Miller (11), Kynadi Hall (3) Digs: Samantha Williams (24), Baylee Hampton (19), Kynadi Hall (13), Abby Wright (11), Gracie Michael (9), Chloe MIller (6), Addy Cagle (6), Jentry Runion (6), Kylie Miller (4) Aces: Gracie Michael (1), Baylee Hampton (1), Chloe Miller (1) Assists: Baylee Hampton (43), Samantha Williams (3), Kynadi Hall (2), Gracie Michael (1) The Lady Chaps defeated Ponder last night in 5 sets. We did some really good things tonight and played hard. Kylie Miller had a career night and led the way for us at the net. Ponder had a hard time stopping us through the middle tonight. Our outsides (Chloe and Abby) did a good job of keeping Ponder out of system with a lot of their swings. We did a good job at the net blocking after the first set. We didn't allow Ponder to just tool us around the net. We did a good job of executing our game plan at the serving line, and it paid off for us. It was a good warm up game for us, and really allowed us to work on some things that will help us as we move through the playoffs. We will be back in action on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30 at we take on Hampton Prep. in the Bi-District round of the playoffs. The game will be at Ranchview High School.

Aubrey vs Sanger Scores: 25-9, 25-23, 25-7 District Record: 10-1 Kills: Kynadi Hall (21), Chloe Miller (11), Abby Wright (6), Kylie Miller (4), Baylee Hampton (3) Blocks: Kynadi Hall (5), Baylee Hampton (1), Kylie Miller (1), Chloe Miller (1) Digs: Samantha Williams (14), Chloe Miller (12), Gracie Michael (10), Kynadi Hall (9), Baylee Hampton (6), Jentry Runion (6), Alayana McMullen (4), Abby Wright (3), Ava Thompson (3), Addy Cagle (3) Aces: Gracie Michael (3), Jentry Runion (2), Chloe Miller (2), Baylee Hampton (1), Abby Wright (1) Assists: Baylee Hampton (36), Kynadi Hall (2), Gracie Michael (2) The Lady Chaps defeated Sanger in three sets last night! We played very clean volleyball in sets one and three, with minimal unforced errors. In set two, we struggled with a few hitting errors, which gave a very scrappy Sanger team the chance to gain momentum and make it close. I’m proud of how we responded in the third set. Kynadi and Chloe led the offense well, while Baylee did a fantastic job setting up our hitters. Our serving also kept Sanger out of system. We’ll be back in action on Tuesday, October 29th, for our final district game in Celina. JV plays at 5:00, followed by varsity. Come out and support your Lady Chaps!

Aubrey ISD welcomed home Dr. James Monaco for a visit today. Before retiring from a long career in education, he served as Aubrey ISD superintendent from 1984 to 2013. During his time in Aubrey, he was a mentor to many, including current Superintendent Dr. Shannon Saylor, and made a lasting impact on staff, parents, and teachers. In recognition of his MANY contributions, the district named its second elementary school after him in 2008. #InspiringChap
